Michner Plating is dedicated to serving our customers and continuing to be a top supplier to Tier I companies. Our company has been family owned since 1936. Our management team is confident and has a strong knowledge within the plating business. Our commitment is to our customer's needs and expectations. Our goal is to exceed our customer's requirements.
Michner Plating was originally formed in 1936 with an operation at 520 N. Mechanic St. in downtown Jackson, Michigan. There they ran various processes which included: Dacrament Coating, Nickel Chrome Plating, Zinc Plating and Powder Coat. In 1987, Walter Michner bought a second facility, formally Miller Plating, at 1725 Angling Rd, also in Jackson. Walter Michner and Joe Michner set up the facility and ran it for 3 years at which time Jim Michner took over and made it what it is today, a top Tier I supplier. The facility has been servicing the automotive industry ever since. In March of 2002, Jim Michner passed away, at which time his son, Jamie Michner, became the Plant Manager. The plant received their QS9000 certification in June of 2002. In November of 2002, the company experienced its second loss when Walter Michner passed away. Jason Michner, Jim's second son became the Vice President of the N. Mechanic facility. With the down turn in the auto industry, the two plants merged together as one at the Angling Rd. facility. Jason Michner is currently the President of the company with his brother Jamie as Vice President.
